There are a number of ways in which the Resurrection affects Christians in everyday life; they used to be Jews who kept the Jewish Sabbath. However they changed their Holy Day to be Sundays because Sunday was the day on which Jesus rose and on this day they weren’t meant to work, as it is the day of rest that celebrates Jesus’ resurrection and it is also in reference to God resting on the seventh day (Genesis).
When the Christians worship they leave the cross empty as this shows them that Jesus has not died and so this makes the Christian community feel that they are still safe in Jesus arms by not putting him to rest. As you may know, many Christians tend not to leave the cross empty as they think they are leaving Jesus aside and feel his presence on the cross is needed and makes them more comfortable whilst worshipping.
There is a specific Easter hymn and a prayer which relates to and portrays the Christian beliefs about the Resurrection; the hymn is the Opening Hymn from the Easter Service.
