The evidence that I have gained from Luke’s Gospel that leads a Christian to believe that Jesus rose from the dead is as follows:
A man named Joseph, who was a member of the council, a good and honest man, from Arimathaea, went to Pilate, and asked for Jesus body. He was a man who had not consented to the decision and action of the council to remove Jesus’ body. ... The reason Luke choose women was that Jesus never discriminated against women and also in those days women were not allowed to stand up in Jewish Courts. These words seemed to them to be nonsense, and they didnt believe them. ... Stopping and looking in, he saw Jesus’ clothing lying on the floor, seeing this he left home, bewildered.
On the same day that Jesus’ had risen two of them were going to a village named Emmaus. ... It happened, while they talked and questioned together, that Jesus himself came near, and went with them. ... They recounted all the details about Jesus of Nazareth and told him he was a prophet he spoke the word of God and he performed miracles. ... Then the stranger spoke and said,
"Foolish men, and slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets have spoken!
