Laurie Colwin’s A Country Wedding Colwin has presented the characters in this story perfectly. She first presents Freddie going to a friends wedding and reminiscing about her own wedding. Also how she grew up at the house where the wedding is taking place, she even got engaged only a mile away. This is all-important because she segue’s into talking about Freddies life before and after marriage by showing her reminiscing at her eldest friends wedding. ... She stated this sudily at first by telling you that he is wearing the same suit he wore to his own wedding eight years ago.
