What is “Xenia?” This paper will break down the explanation of xenia into several components. First, it will define xenia. Then, the paper will give several examples of xenia throughout Homer’s Odyssey. Finally, it will compare and contrast the similarities and differences between a good host and one that comes from a less “civilized” society.
