Caricom as an institution co-ordinates common services, functional co-operation and foreign policy and is the vehicle for economic integration through the Caribbean Single Market & Economy (CSME). All of these processes are important but the establishment and the operation of the CSME is clearly the initiative, which will have the most far-reaching impact on the citizens of Caricom.
