Downtown Montreal is like a microcosm within the city itself that doesnt seem to belong where it is : it reminds me all at once of Paris, New York and Toronto; or more simply put, it seems to contain both aspects of European and North-American culture without compromising either.
Walking down Saint-Catherines on a Friday night, the most famous and infamous street in the city, I brush past people of every color and social background, my eyes darting from the jaw-dropping German imports to the breathtakingly attired women breezing by at a faster pace than mine, seemingly saying with their eyes glaring back at lustful propositions tentatively left unspoken, If youre walking I dont have time for you.
