High school is a place where kids are kids; college is a place where adults are made. The life of a college student may differ from that of a high school student, in many aspects; however they are still in school, studying to further their learning. Higher education or high school, both of these places are tools to building your future. They work together seemingly to one day help you obtain a job. Although many people may tell you that high school and college are extremely different; my high school, Sumiton Christian, and the college I attend, Huntingdon College, are quite similar. Sumiton Christian has a student body of around 180 students; whereas, Huntingdon College claims 650. Those two numbers may seem essentially different, they are actually very similar. A college of 650 students is very small, as is a high school of 180. The class sizes due to the enrollment are very similar. The professors at Huntingdon College are eager to help you at any time they are able. The case is relatively similar at Sumiton. “I love Mr. Banks’ class, he helps us a lot.” I said. “Yeah, he helps me when I need it.” Matt concurred. That’s the great thing about this place; the teachers aren’t hesitant to help you at all if possible. Help from teachers has a lot to do with the size of the classes. We are in a small school, so the class sizes are normally small. Teachers are able to give personal attention to the students. Matt said to me, “If I need help on a test in Mr. Banks’ class, you will help me, right?” “Absolutely! That is what friends are supposed to do.” I assured him. If he couldn’t get the help he needed from a teacher, I would do everything I could to help him pass. He needs all the help he could get. He isn’t dumb or anything, he is just lazy. I am too, so I understand. It was test day anyway. I haven’t heard from Matt about needing help, so I guess he must have studied.
