In an era of democracy, it is not surprising that educators will lay emphasis on the choices of the students in framing curriculum. Although this has certain unfortunate consequences, educators should not be the sole decision makers in constructing curriculum. ... In many unfortunate cases, mentoring and guidance from parents are not available. So, due to the ensuing dissatisfactions and consequent political choices, there is pressure on the educators to lighten the load of the curriculum. As a result, a great number of students dont get the opportunity to blossom to their full potential—both educationally and professionally. ... Not having well groomed in Math in the formative years of life, many students neither develop an interest nor the skill in Math, and take to non-mathematical careers. ... So, the effects of plebian policies on framing curriculum are not only ignorance, professional deprivations, but also totality of dissatisfactions arising out of that.
