A Return of a Soldier
In Ernest Hemingway “ Soldier’s Home” there is a young soldier named Harold Krebs, who served during WWI in the Marines. Krebs on his return to Oklahoma found that he had changed, but the town had not.
Trying to return to his way of life, before the war became a struggle for him. ... Krebs was not elated during his return home. Upon his return home he was not welcomed by towns people “People seemed to think it was rather ridiculous for Krebs to be getting back so late, years after the war was over” (Hemingway 320). ... So during this time of adjusting to his return to his parent’s home.
