In high school, being involved in numerous activities is an excellent way to meet new people. Church is another great place to get involved. Getting involved at church can lead to a deepening of faith plus helping the church grow as a place of worship. Although being involved at school and church are amazing things that can only add to your life, I feel that the most rewarding way to be involved is in the community. High school only lasts four years whereas church and community will always be there. Being involved is one of the best things in my life. My four years of high school have been bursting at the seams with activities. My first three years I participated in many different activities, but my senior year has truly been the year that I got to stand up and take a leadership role in the activities that are important to me at Metamora Township High School. The most important activity that I participate in is Fellowship of Christian Athletes. I have attended the FCA huddles at seven fifteen ever Friday morning since my sophomore year and it truly makes Fridays pass faster. I spoke during my sophomore and junior years. My sophomore year I spoke on how perfect God’s love is for us, and my junior year I talked about forgiveness and its importance in my life. I was truly blessed when FCA sponsor Mr. Chuck Danner asked me if I would like to be part of the leadership team. I stand up every Friday morning as a witness of Jesus Christ and help other students praise God through music. Another important part of my high school career has been Operation Snowball. Snowball is a weekend spent at the school to show kids that having fun without drugs and alcohol is possible. I have attended Snowball all of my high school years. My freshman and sophomore years I attended Snowball as a participant. My junior year I participated as a small group teen leader.
