brave new world blade runner

QUESTION This is shown in Aldous Huxleys ‘Brave New World’ and Ridley Scott’s ‘Blade Runner’. ... Brave New world was written in 1931 with its posts WWI totalitarian regimes of Italy, Russia and Germany where people where denied intellectual stimulation and freedom of thought. In the novel this context is represented by Mustapher Mond (the ‘world’ controller) who’s personality reflects those of Hitler and Mosolini when he states “you’ve got to choose between what they call high art and happiness. We sacrificed the high art” The Brave New World satirises a ‘Utopia’ with its dependence on political institutions and modern society and shows a synthetic clean world that has been conditioned into social class and order “alphas, betas , gamma’s”. ... All conditioning aims at is making people unacceptable of the social destiny” Therefore the environmental impact of this synthetic world which has been artificially created by the ‘Bokcanivsky” process- multiplying twins, is shown by the lack of need of contact with the natural environment. The ‘natural’ world is said to be one that has a strong bond between nature and human beings, however in BNW the children are conditioned to hate the natural world and everything in it.
