A paperless office was first mooted in the 1980’s when advancement in technology contributed towards the creation of computers and softwares that allowed work to be done more productivity and efficiently. Due to the benefits that are being brought about with the uses of computers such as being able to produce faster turnaround times, make fewer errors, and provide more reliable and cheaper operation costs, it was believed that office automation would occurred. As a result of office automation, gradually paper would also be eliminated hence, creating an ideal of a paperless office. ... Computers are very cheap and with the creation of internet and advanced technology, better hardwares and softwares are also being produced to increase efficiency and productivity at work and hence, as a result helped to make the ideal of a paperless office possible.
