George W. Bush and John F. Kerry are becoming household names as we move closer to November. Which candidate wants the Oval Office more? Who will risk it all to win a seat in the White House? These campaigns are some of the most negative and ruthless in history, and presently an intense battle for the “hot seat” is taking place. Both parties are bashing each other about everything under the sun, from previous military service to voting records. Only the American people can decide who will lead this country, whether it be a battle hardened democrat, or wartime republican. The heat is on between Bush and Kerry. It is getting close to crunch time. There is a dead heat in the race so far, therefore the democrats and republicans are both fighting for any advantage possible. These two men are very different in their ideas for the nation and have few similarities, disagreeing on just about everything. Similarities include, both attending college at Yale; and military service, Kerry served in Vietnam, while Bush served a term in the National Guard. Kerry is noted as the one of the most liberal voters in the Senate, while Bush sits far on the right side of ideas. The subject of the economy is among the hot topics. Bush believes that putting more money in the hands of the people will give the economy the boost it needs to reach record highs.
