Self – Conscious If someone asks you to drink the cobra’s blood, you will think that person is insane. However, Indonesian people think that it is a normal thing as it is good for your skin health. Every ethnic has different customs, cultures, and traditions that might be similar or totally different from one another. The people in each country will feel comfortable with the rules that have been designed since they are born, like the people in “The Lottery”. They are so much convenient with the regulations that they do not dare to question whether it is the right thing to do or not. If they resist the rules, they will be in trouble. Who is willing to sacrifice oneself to stand for the truth while other people think it is not? Who wants to be McMurphy, Dr. Stockmann, or the woman in “The Yellow Wallpaper”, who fight for their own beliefs?
