... My family owned a manor in a village of Addicott is the county of Somerset (north of London), part of our family thrived others were not so lucky. There were many more poor peasants then anything else, but little or nothing is known about these people because history is written by those whom can read and write, and many of my family did not have such luxuries. ... Later during England’s civil war, the rich part of my family’s lands were ceased and given to the crown, because my family opposed the revolution which changed the balance of power between the royal family and the individual lords. ... That part still remained wealthy but were no longer considered lords but and the name of the village changed, but my family remained near that area.
