Who s to Blame for the two star crossd teenage lovers in Romeo and Juliet
In the tragic play of Romeo and Juliet, Shakespeare spreads the blame of there death upon many characters. It is difficult to see who the blame should be put on, as some characters were not involved in their death. ... Through the happenings in the play, the tragedy of their deaths is pushed toward Friar Lawrence, Romeo, and Fate. Friar Lawrence holds most all responsibility to the Death of Romeo and Juliet, with his foolish actions. Friar should have never took it upon himself to feel it was ok to marry Romeo and Juliet in secret, especially while knowing the history of the two families, as well as knowing what a fiasco it could cause. ... He continued to support the two, by giving Juliet a sleeping drug to help reunite her and Romeo in Mantua, but it could have killed her instantly, or had many other affects. To finish off his act of reuniting the two he was supposed to give Romeo a message telling him to meet Juliet in the family tomb, and wait for her to wake, but it didn’t reach him, and Romeo thought that she was dead.
