Musics Affect on Todays Adolescence Music today is everywhere in every aspect of life, but according to the author of "Music" Alan Bloom, " rock music ruins the imagination of young people and makes it difficult for them to have a relationship to art and thought, the substance of liberal education" (Bloom). Rock music today has a dominant effect on children. ... "This music has a much more powerful effect than does pornography on youngsters", because they can easily go and imitate what can be done by themselves simply to the sound of music. ... Bloom is trying to say Rock music closes children out from everything else that is important, taking away musics purpose and original role in education.
