response to Bergers Way of seeing chapter 7

To start my project and response to Berger’s book I need to introduce a short synopsis of the book .“Ways of seeing” by John Berger is a book based on a 1970’s BBC program in which art and its perception in the media and life in general is explored , it examines the social and psychological impact and conventions of modern and classical artists. ... It is a collection of 7 essays, they can be read independently in any order but they are linked. ... Each essay is linked in someway to section/essay 7. The first textual essay opens with the words “Seeing comes before words. ... In my view Berger takes publicity and advertising too literally or seriously it really seems to effect him in a negative way. ... “One has the impression that publicity images are continually passing us, like express trains on there way to distant terminus. ... That if the consumer buys into something he/she will transform his/her life that it will in some way make him/her richer even though he/she will be poorer by having spent the money.
