Part 2 It's been two years now since we left the island with the Indians. The lost of our ship did not discourage any of my crew members, except for Nathaniel he said that could not take any more chances. About two weeks after we got back to our homes the seven of us combined our wages and purchased another whaling ship, and headed back to western Australia in hope of a great profit. When we got out to sea in one of the many travels we thought it might be nice to go back to the island where I was for seven years and take a little visit. When we got to the island almost everything was right where it was then I left it. I brought my men back to the woods and showed them where I caught the elk, and when we were coming back to the beach we saw a Spanish ship lighting our ship on fire we ran to the ship to try to salvage everything we could before the ship was gone but it was too late. We all just sit on the beach and looked at each other for about ten minutes before John said “hey wait a minute, those Indians live on that island” “so what” I said, he said “sooo if we all work together we can carve a boat out of a log and sail five islands north and get some help.
