Does the size of the potato affect the amount of oxygen given off? I am going to investigate the affect of different size potatoes in the same amount of hydrogen peroxide to see which gives off most oxygen. To do this I am going to drop different size potatoes into the same amount of hydrogen peroxide and washing-up liquid solution. Prediction The bigger the size of the potato the more oxygen bubbles released. The 1x1x1 piece will produce a small amount of foam and the 1x1x5 piece will produce a large amount of foam. The enzyme inside the potato works twice as hard if the potato is twice as big as the previous test and therefore gives off twice as many oxygen bubbles.
