Home Schooling Is There a Right Answer
“Although it seems natural and normal for kids when they turn five to leave home and go to school all day, when you home school you see that’s not the only way it has to happen.” Response Mary Beth Vaughan, when asked about why she chooses to home school her two children. A question she and others who home school gets asked frequently. There is a new generation of parents that choose to keep their children at home, and teaching them themselves, rather than sending them to public or private schools. Is home schooling a good idea? ... Is there a right answer? ... In 1999 the Untied States Government took a survey, that showed around 850,000 children were being home schooled, only 2%. ... (Child Magazine September 2004) These statistics show that home schooling is becoming more and more popular in the States. The changes in families that choose to home school have changed too. In recent years the majority of home schooling families were Christian families who did not want to place their child in a school that taught Darwin theories.
