Which character most directly leads to Mozart’s downfall? There were many factors that lead to Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s downfall. One could argue that Mozart’s wife Constanza was the cause of his downfall. Others could make the dispute that Antonio Salieri was the reason that Mozart went through his downfall. There are many more individuals who also took part in the downfall of Mozart. However there was only one individual that was responsible for Mozart’s downfall. Although many people contributed to Mozart’s downfall, it was ultimately Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart himself who most influenced his own downfall. If he had not let so many individuals play such an enormous part in his life, he would have had more pieces of work and much more fame. However, Mozart associated with three different people who had small parts in driving him to his downfall. One person that constantly pushed Mozart with his music was his father, Leopold. Leopold pressured his son, at an early age, into music. At the young age it was evident that Mozart took his father opinion and approval to heart. When Mozart was just a child, his father was having him play for men of high power. Even at such a young age there was a sense of pressure coming down on Mozart from his father. Mozart continued to grow up in his father’s disapproval. This is obvious when Mozart decided to live in Vienna and marry Constanza.
