Eating disorders are something that effect thousands of people in the United States every year. ... An eating disorder is referred to as a mental illness in which a person obsesses over food and their weight. Even though it is common for some people to care about their weight, people with an eating disorder will go to great lengths in order to lose weight, or prevent themselves form gaining weight. ... Unfortunately, people forget about this reality and resort to changing their own eating habits dramatically, and end up at times having a serious eating disorder.
As many people know, there are two main eating disorders that affect people the most; they are anorexia and bulimia. Anorexia is a disorder in which people obsess with their weight and the calories they eat.
