The Haircut
"The Haircut," by Ring Lardner portrays a man by the name of Jim Kendall, who remains a comedian but at the same time shows no heart. The natural setting is taken place in a barber shop in the town it is located. This story keeps the reader interested in the many events that occur. It comes to show the very well known statement, "you reap what you sew," is indeed very true. Throughout the story we learn of Jim Kendall's dirty jokes. He is a man of no compassion for others. Among the many thoughtless jokes he had played, was the one he had played on his crush Julie and the Doc.
