Narrative Essay This summer I went on a missions trip to Alaska. It was probably the coolest missions trip I’ve ever been on and I think I got the most out of it. The trip was not a normal missions trip where you would do tons of skits and dramas and hang out with little kids. It was more of a prayer and witnessing missions trip. On our last Saturday we were planning on having a big community outreach day with a live band, food, dramas, testimonies, and some preaching. But early that Saturday morning we got a phone call that would change our lives. On Saturday morning we all got up super early to do our team bible study in our trailer and then prayer in the church. The bible study went well and everyone was making their way to the sanctuary for our morning prayer time. About ¾ of the group was in the sanctuary and a few of us were just cleaning up in the trailer when the phone rang. My youth pastor Kelly (the girl) got the phone and all of a sudden she just screamed NO! We knew that something bad had happened, but I thought it was with her family so I went and got her husband Kelly (the boy; our youth pastors are married and they are both named Kelly, pretty cool huh?) and I told him that there was a phone call and it sounded like something real bad had happened so he came back to the trailer. When we got inside Kelly girl was still on the phone and she told us that Denny died in a car accident right next to his driveway.
