Think the witches appear because they are extremely important characters. So far they have completely influenced Macbeth and Lady Macbeth thoughts.a tragic hero for several reasons. He suffered a downfall as a result of a fatal flaw in his character. His excessive ambition was so strong that it took over him and made him willing to do any evil deed to achieve his goal. One of his errors in judgment was killing Duncan in order to be king. From the very moment the witches made their predictions it was his fate to become king. Macbeth was a tyrant. He hired murderers to kill his best friend, Banquo, which proved he would break any law and kill any person for victory.
