The Bush Administration immediately issued the worrld their response to the attacks on America and launched a “War on Terrorism”. The White House explained that this is a campaign against terrorists that can potentially harm American and allied interests. ... All prior wars in American history, such as the World Wars, and the Vietnam War have had a clear enemy, and means of extinguishing the enemy were done as it had been traditionally, with a drawn out plan, a few good men and a lot of artillery. The face of terror is blank. ... This controversial approach has had analysts raising the question, “Is this policy going to be an effective deterrent to terror, or will its war-provoking nature create more terrorists against America? ... Though, Washington knew that wasn’t enough security, so they began military campaigns in foreign countries that support terror. ... The bombing severely disrupted bin Laden’s terror network, al-Qaeda. ... The theory is also believed to have triggered a backlash towards the United States, by creating terrorists out of people that aren’t necessarily Muslim or Arab, but stand up for the historical Middle Eastern religious beliefs that are threatened (Nakhoul 3). ... The appearance of arrogance the Bush team has shown towards respecting other people’s beliefs is now thought to be a “recruitment tool” for new terrorists. ... " Also, the same official stated that the recruits of al-Qaeda and other terror groups now are younger than they were in the past. ... That is why killing one’s self for their belief is a typical response and is fully justified by our enemies in the war on terror.
