Running
Cross-country is a sport. ... Many people consider the sport of running just going outside, jogging around, or heading off to the local gym and using the treadmill. Running though is more than this; running takes further dedication, sacrifice, and perseverance. ... Why then don’t they show more of the sport of running. It seems inappropriate that the only time you see people running is in the Olympics or in a big marathon. ... This could spark an interest in someone to take up running, or it could be a way for high school runners to have their names be put out towards the college coaches. ... I do agree that it takes an interest in running for a person to desire to watch it, but there are still people out in the world who are interested in the races.
In conclusion, the sport of running is as much as a sport as any other big name sports such as soccer or football.
