9/7/04 Baltimore Sun Howard News Section Who-People of Howard County (Ellicott City) What- raising tax bills for sight of rising homes When- currently Where- Howard County (Ellicott City) Short Summary- Many residents of Howard County are becoming upset with the fact that the nice country roads are becoming filled with new homes being built. The taxes are being raised- many because of how much the land costs and builders like to cram homes as close as possible to get as much money as they can. The residents are very upset about what is going on especially in what used to be the rural part of Howard County. Many prefer how the roads used to look 10 years ago and agree that it is sad how the county can not preserve the old country roads.
