wag the dog

As the composer of the film “Wag the Dog”, my purpose was to display a satirical perspective on the world of American politics and how easily the truth can be changed to the public through manipulation by the strength of the media governed by people in positions of power. Various techniques I used to convey my message to the audience were, using a very successful Hollywood producer as an advisor the advisors of the American president, the dialogue between characters, the stereotypes of characters and the soundtrack. Dialogue, stereotypes of characters, parody, camera work, setting, soundtrack The technique of using a Hollywood producer as an advisor to the main characters pulling the strings behind the face of the American president was satirical in itself as the whole act and daily activities of the most powerful man in the world, the president were being directly advised by a successful Hollywood producer.
