"Should colleges and universities offer more courses on current culture than on art and literature of the past? Some people claim that they should, because contemporary culture is more close to peoples everyday life; while others argue that they should not, because art and literature of the past remains a great treasure of human beings. On balance, I would say that it is wiser to combine the two ideas above together, that is, offer both type of courses. The reason is simple, both contemporary and historical culture are useful to the development of the society and the well-being of every individual.
