Problem definition The problem with this store is that with all the new technology is that you will have to get people that failure with the technology that you are going to use and because it is new you are going to have to get all the employs to read the manual and test the people on the machines. Another major issue is security if this shop is going to be fitted with all this hi technology we will need the best in alarm systems to secure the new technology. Requirement report The new shop will consist of the following state of the art technology facial recigion system instead of having member ship cards you can easily see who is or isn’t a member and then that person can not borrow movies or download mp3s and ringtones to your fone/mp3 player. So if there is a non member in the shop you can send a message to a worker via a p.d.a to go and convince the person to be a member, and tell him about the great deals the shop has to offer! Such as the private cinema that you can bring the family to watch a movie, and they can order food not just drinks and popcorn. This shop will provide Block buster movies and old movies that you can watch in wide screens crystal clear picture. The store also provides the ultimate gaming rentals new and old releases. Plasma screens to play the different geans of enter ament and computers that can play high graphics media and computers linked to the data base so people can access the details and change them eg if they have moved houses or if they want there son to start renting movies and a gaming/net café so that the people can access the internet and play games and search for the latest games and music. For renting movies we can give customers the best quality picture and make sure the movie works not having to see if the DVD cd is scratched we can just burn new copies for every new customer, of course this can not be done with out the state of the are burning program and to burn these movies/mp3s we will need licenses. Laptops will be provided to the workers can tell the customers what videos have been released. Of course to have all this we will be to back up the whole system. Summery of investigation Plasma Screens These would be used to display trailers around the store for customers, there would be different trailers displaying in different areas for the different genres. They would be good for the store since they are state of the art and it is easy to set up and because of that it wouldn’t waste that much time, and they are relatively expensive at 4500@.
