What is life? Life is full of desires. What is desire? Desire is a flower. The blossom has a grace, a beauty, which human hands cannot imitate. And so, we shall always go lusting after flowers. The nature of desire implies a separation between ourselves and the things we want. Getting back to those things (or people in the case of lust) relieves our desire and we become happy. These moments form the most powerful memories in our life. The anticipation which mounts before a meal- even more striking if we are hungry- makes the food taste better.
