Gandhi was born in the town of Porbander in the state that is now known as Gujurat on the 2nd of October 1869 and was murdered by a fanatic Hindu in 1948. During the time Gandhi grew up in India, the country was under British rule and had been for several hundred years. Gandhi completed his schooling in India and later went to university in London to further study law.
Gandhi influenced a change in Government for India without using violence. ... When Gandhi arrived in India crowds of people were awaiting him and were cheering and celebrating his arrival at the harbor.
