Throughout history the Taiwanese aboriginal people live mostly in mountain areas; therefore, a lot of the tribes believe that they have deep connections with the soil and the environment they live in. ... As Taiwan has been becoming a more industrialized and globalized country, the Taiwanese aboriginals have a harder time of surviving in the modern world. ... First most of the Taiwanese aboriginal people have little education. ... And lastly, the government had no laws or constitution to protect the working rights of the Taiwanese aboriginals. All this hardship has driven the Taiwanese aboriginals to protest on the streets, hoping that the government would take some actions to protect their rights.
