This statement would have appealed to them because the majority of the population felt exploited by the French, due to the heavy taxes they imposed and their attitude to the peasants and working class. 2. Ho Chi Minh’s interpretation has no evidence in it. It basically tells you what he thinks but it does not give any evidence to support his theory and to tell you whether it is right or wrong. 3. There are roughly about 40% nationalist views. There are about 60% nationalist views. He would see communism as being more important to him rather than nationalism. 4. The ICP had a lot more of a communist view to the world and it was a lot broader.
