This lab will measure and compare the cardiovascular fitness of sixteen to eighteen year old males and females that are both athletes and non-athletes. By doing this lab students will be able to appreciate the differences that everyday lifestyle choices, such as aerobic exercise, and become aware of how they affect the body.
If athletic training improves cardiovascular fitness, then the pulse rate of athletes will return to normal quicker and will be lower than a non-athlete.
