In this modern world, supposedly so full of sin and evil, some may say that, today, there are no true Christians remaining. However, despite the sharp dig in popularity of Christianity, our society still contains those who work extremely hard each day to practice the teaching of Jesus. Also, there are men and women in other countries prepared to dedicate their lives to their faith, and often do. Such people, like Mother Teresa, Chad Varah and dame Cicely sometimes become famous through their actions, and their work is broadcast around the world. Yet, there are millions of people whose lives are not. Many, known only locally, or even by very few others, regularly fulfil their Christian duties in church and outside of it. Thousands of priests, nuns and monks work tirelessly for others, or live their lives in dedication to God in prayer and reflection. However, they do not receive any fame through the good they achieve, yet daily continue their religious service. Mother Teresa is, perhaps, one of the most famous Christians, and certainly Catholics, ever. Her name has become commonly spoken in all aspects of life; her good deeds compared to those of the apostles themselves. Agnes was an ordinary girl, brought up in Serbia, in a very religious family. She had decided to become a missionary by the time she was 14, concerned by the large number of poor living right next to her home. Through the Lord, even with little to no money, Mother Teresa managed to care daily for the sick in Calcutta. Her complete selflessness inspired faith in those who had none and improved the lives of thousands of people living in India. She had absolutely no materialistic values, and through determination and unfaltering faith, became one of the most committed disciples of Jesus in this age. There are many factors involved in how Mother Teresa put her Christian morals into practice.
