Evolution is the gradual process by which the genetic, structural and functional features of living organisms change over very long periods of time as traits are passed from one generation to the next. This is happening because life in Darwin¡¯s words, is a struggle for existence (brown k, 2004), therefore living things must be adapt new characteristics in order to respond to the changing environment for survival. In evolution, natural selection is the process by which environmental changes lead to the alternation of characteristics or traits among individuals of a population. The beneficial traits will quickly spread through the population since the individuals who carry them have a greater reproductive success rate while the characteristics that inhibit reproductive success rate will decrease in frequency.
