National governments should devote more of their social programs and services to children than to adults

Nowadays more and more attention has been paid to children, who represent the future of the country. Many people advocate that national governments should devote more of their social programs and services to children than to adults. In my opinion, however, what we need to do about this conflict is to seek a balance: Children and adults are equally important.
Compared with adults, the most characteristic of children is that they have less ability to protect themselves due to their age and lack of life experience. ... As we see from many incidents of family violence, children are always hurt by their family members physically and mentally, and they won`t know how to deal with it and how to keep themselves safe without the help of other adults.
