The topic that I have chosen for this assignment is one that is of great interest to me and is of great significance to the history of computing and to the whole world. That is of course the History of the Internet!
The Internet is of great interest to me because it is a valuable source of information for any topic or area. ... For example, when doing research on the internet, once the topic has been typed in all the relevant material for that particular topic will appear, whereas if the same research was carried out using books it would be a lot more time consuming because many books in that topic would have to be looked at and analyzed. The sort of things you would spend ages looking for in the library can be found quickly on the Internet. I even used the Internet to aid me in doing this assignment! ...
The Internet is becoming very popular and I feel that it is a brilliant means of communication for individuals like myself and also for large organizations and companies because via electronic mail (e-mail) it is very easy to communicate with people all over the world.
The Internet is fast becoming a necessity for everyone rather than a luxury because there are so many things that can be done on the Internet from buying cars to doing the shopping! It has become a major part of my day-to-day life and I am sure that is the case with millions of users of the Internet all over the world.
The rise and the rise of the internet has had a great significance to the history of computing because it is through the vast use of computers that there are so many users of the internet today. Computers are used in almost every company, organization and home and with the Internet they have helped enhance business relations because more and more computers are being used therefore more partnerships are being developed in organizations. This is because computers and the Internet are a quick and reliable method for workers and colleagues within an organization to communicate with each other internally and externally.
