With Australia’s population ageing there are many challenges that the government will need to over come to prepare for our ageing population. One of the government’s biggest challenges is to find a way to get extra money to fund the costs that the ageing population will bring. ... With such a drop in tax payers this means the government will not have as many people in the work force to pay tax to fund the cost of Australia’s ageing population, and with there being fewer people in the work force there could be a shortage of labour which could slow down the economic growth of Australia. The government has come up with some strategies to try and combat the problems that ageing population will bring. ... But since a lot of the time company’s dismiss there older employees the government wants to get rid of the negative myth that older people in the work force are useless and promote how useful older employees can be.
