CAMPUS SNOBBERY
Picture this, you are eighteen years old, you are an “adult”, you are leaving home and about to be on your own for the first time. ... Welcome to a whole new snob zone, campus life.
There are snobs everywhere we go in life, but I think that all of us have this crazy idea for a moment that once we turn eighteen we are “mature” and we are above all of the snobbery that goes on in high school. In reality there is just as much snobbery that happens on college campuses, maybe even more. Some people are snobby because they have come form a very large town and they think they are just better than everyone else, snobbery can also exist with the people who are from the town that the college is in because they are comfortable in that environment and intruders are stepping on there turf, there are also those that are very intelligent and feel superior over others. ...
Snobberies of campus life exist for many reasons and I think the main one is that we are all different. ... In my opinion a lot of the snobbery exists because even though we are supposedly moving on with our lives and growing up, College in a sense is still the same type of environment as a middle school or high school. ...
In a perfect world there would be no campus life snobbery, but we all know that we do not live in a perfect world so we deal with what were are given, therefore, there will always be snobbery in campus life, it is inevitable because as I said before we are all different and not everyone shares the same values.
