Australia shouldnt have been invovled in the Vietnam war
Ah, I love war discussions. Everything about war interests me. ... America got into the Vietnam war to protect the Democratic south Vietnam. After WW2, Russia and the US were in a cold war. ... South Vietnam was a democratic country so we felt we had to beat the USSR in other ways that a attack on them. ... This is the same reason why we helped out Afganistan, South Korea, and almost any other country we went to war with. Vietnam was no exeption. ... Americans felt that we shouldnt get involved. We did some pretty fucked up shit in that war like using napalm(im not sure how to spell it), agent orange, and we did some fucked up shit to the vietnamese. There would be no way for us to win that war unless we killed every single person. ... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hitman Australia in the VIetnam War The only time Australia has come under direct attack from another country, was when Japan bombed Darwin and sunk a number of ships in Sydney, during World War 2. The question then has to be asked, why Australia has been involved in so many conflicts. A number of recent conflicts in this century come to mind, they include, The Boer War, World War One, World War Two and The Vietnam War. By far the conflict that drew the most outrage from Australian citizens was the Vietnam War. Australia has been drawn into these conflicts through a number of treaties and alliances made with other countries.
