The Son of God is an appropriate title because it shows Jesus is in God’s favour and divine. This title highlights that Jesus is filled with God and speaks with his authority. At Jesus’ baptism God says: “This is my own dear son, I am pleased with you.” This shows there is affection between Jesus and God and God is telling people Jesus is a part of him. At the Transfiguration Jesus is also referred to as The Son of God. ... ” These words indicate Jesus is divine and important to God and has God’s authority. Another incident were Jesus is called the Son of God is at The Trial Before The High Priest. However another relevant title for Jesus is the Son of Man. ... Jesus incorporated the Son of Man with the idea of the suffering servant, taken from Isaiah.
