	Persuasive Speech Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen of the educational board, my name is Igor Belokon I am a student at Brighton Secondary College and I would like to thank you first off for taking the time to listen to my speech. I have come today before all of you to persuade you to consider changing English into a non-compulsory subject for VCE students. I never performed well when it came to english, it tended to be one of my weaker subjects that is why I feel it is my duty to voice this dilemma in favor of other students alike. Towards the end of every year when I am given my subject selection sheet and I read it to find english is a compulsory subject next year, I ask myself why?
