Prosecution of Medea

The article went on to tell of Medea’s relation to Creon and Glauce. Medea was borne into a powerful family from the city of Colchis or “the ends of the earth” as most around here know those lands as. ... Evidently they met when Jason was searching for the legendary Golden Fleece and Medea helped him to steal it from her father who kept guard over it (Perseus Project, 2002). As she was now an outcaste from her family, Medea decided to go with Jason and they were soon married after. Since arriving in Corinth both Medea and Jason had built a good name for themselves and were accepted in the community. As an addition to their family Medea bore two healthy sons whom Jason someday hoped would make him proud by becoming noblemen and fight against his enemies. ...
