The film Gattaca shows the extraordinary ways in which Vincent drives himself towards his dream. Although Vincent’s vision does not live up to the perfect 20/20 Gattaca standard he is blessed with sight and vision that others individuals in Gattaca will never possess. ... Because Vincent is not considered genetically ‘perfect’, individuals especially his brother Anton question his abilities. ... When Vincent saved Anton in their childish game, Vincent came to the realization that he can do more than what is expected of him, and in fact prompted his departure to embark on the society of Gattaca.
