Civil War Gettysburg The Movie

... Thomas Howell, Cooper Huckabee, Patrick Gorman The film depicts three days in the summer of 1863, at a place called Gettysburg. The movie is based on Michael Shaaras 1974 Pulitzer Prize-winning novel "The Killer Angels," about the battle at Gettysburg, a three-day siege that proved to be the Civil Wars bloodiest. “Gettysburg”, the four-hour depiction of just three days of the Civil War, illustrates the horrors of brother fighting brother, and friend killing friend, in which 50,000 Americans died. This movie seems to present a truly balanced account of the Civil War from both a Union and a Confederate point of view.
