Princess Diana

“The Secret Years”, by Simone Simmons is about Princess Diana and the main events in her life, while she was still associated with the royal family. Princess Diana is interesting because she overcame many obstacles during the very public part of the course of her life. The period of this biography is set during the years of Diana’s life when she had the crown, and during the few years after she separated from them. ... Princess Diana accomplished many things during the course of her life, especially the time when she had the title of Princess of Wales. ... In later years this will prove to become a burden to the young Princess, although Diana kept her chin up through all the bad times. ... It is mainly about a friend’s memory of the Princess. The author’s reasoning for writing this biography is a personal one; she wished to leave behind a legacy of Princess Diana different then those of the scandals, and tabloids that had been circling about her friend for years. The author admired her comrade, and wished to write a book about her where the reader could feel like they knew her as closely and well as Simone herself knew the Princess. This book is written by someone who actually knew the Princess, that way they would understand the events that happened to her, and could finally see her many different reasons behind all the things that she did.
